Okanagan Hockey School

Jon-Lee learning the First Nations Crow, Raven and Eagle dance with professional dancer Richard Jackson Jr.During my teaching experience in Bella Bella, which the natives call Waglisha, I felt an exceptional sense of aliveness, a spiritual affinity with living life. This community on B.C.'s central coast was exquisitely beautiful. Immediately after waking in the early morning, I would look out across the numerous channels and fjords to where the first rays of dawn were beginning to color the pinnacles of the mountains on the mainland. I marveled at the natural splendor before me, and when I walked or jogged in the village I felt Friends of Jon-Leea sensory responsiveness quickening within my that kept me coming back for more of this abundance of sensation: the scent of fish being smoked, the sounds of music flowing from open windows and children playing, the sight of eagles soaring above the trees, and the screeching of ravens in constant conversation.

Roger Adolph, friend & Jon-Lee
From my experience at Bella Bella I acquired numerous lifetime friends in the First Nations Community and have expanded my Inspirational Speaking topics into the First Nations Community throughout the Province of British Columbia.
